Since January 1 2014, Beijing police has made 1,900 arrests for violating the nation’s pornographic and drug laws. These include: prostitution, sex trafficking, gambling and buying or selling drugs.

Police have targeted hotels, spas, clubs, gambling dens and other varieties of entertainment venues. Around 610 establishments throughout the city have been raided and searched with up to 18kg of drugs being found and confiscated.

Looks like Beijing doesn’t want to be outdone by the southern cities in terms of arrests of this nature.
