157 Flights Canceled at Shanghai Airports Due to Typhoon Phoenix

Typhoon Phoenix caused havoc across Shanghai’s airports as 157 flights were canceled and nearly 800 delayed yesterday.

Pudong International Airport saw 98 flight cancellations and 458 delays, whilst Hongqiao international Airport had 59 cancellations and 327 delayed flights.

Some were delayed by over four hours, whilst airport authorities waited for the storm to die down, which it finally did around 18:00.
