Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan passenger transportation express railway which will take 3.5 years for construction was in test operation. As a joint effort, Beijing-Shijiazhuang and Shijiazhuang-Wuhan lines are under construction as well as Qingdao-Shijiazhuang. Shijiazhuang will be the crossroads of North-South express railway and East-West express railways. After completion of all these railways, it will only take 1 hour from Shijiazhuang to Beijing, Zhengzhou, Jinan and Taiyuan and a “1-hour transportation circle” will be formed at the center of Shijiazhuang.
