Jul 31, 2013 By eChinacities.com

During the afternoon of July 31, gunshots were heard in a residential building in Chengdu’s Chenghua District. As of now, two suspects, a man and a woman, have been arrested though reportedly policemen were harmed during the apprehension.

Eyewitnesses have told of another gunman who reportedly jumped from the building and has escaped, though Chengdu SWAT police have arrived on the scene to stabilize the situation.

Initial gunshots were heard at around 14:00, after which a gunman jumped down from the 10th floor of a building. Police then quickly formed a blockade around the area so the suspect couldn’t get out.

The victim of the shooting has already been reported dead, and currently SWAT police are on the hunt for the third assailant.

What? This report doesn't make sense. A man jumped from the 10th floor and managed to escape? There's no way unless he jumped into the deep end of a swimming pool or something.
