Nanjing Jasmine International Youth Hostel is located in a Western-style Republican-era building, and is famous for its over 1,000 square meters large courtyard where you can get away from the city’s hustle and bustle by lounging underneath two century-old pines amidst quite a collection of plant life. Its convenient location on the Xinjiekou Business Circle makes it a stone’s throw away from the 1921 Bar Street, a supermarket, and two universities: Nanjing University and Nanjing Normal University. You’ll also find four bus stops nearby with service to over ten bus lines, making getting around town a breeze.

The hostel offers a variety of room types based on the hostel experience you have in mind. If you like your privacy, you can reserve a “standard room,” and if you’d rather get to know fellow travelers from all over China and the rest of the world, you can reserve a spot in a multi-person room. Rooms are clean and tidy but a little small, and most don’t include private washrooms. 2) Sunflower Youth Hostel南京瞻园国际青年旅舍 View In Map
The Sunflower Youth Hostel is located in the most bustling section of Nanjing’s Laocheng Nan area right next to the Fuzi Temple’s West gate and looks out over the Qinhuai River. This European style building has four floors. The first floor is a reception area, and the fourth floor is a bar and entertainment area open 24 hours/day (equipped with pool tables) where you can enjoy Western meals and Chinese snacks. Guests’ rooms are located on the second and third floors. Transportation is extremely convenient here, as you can easily hop on a bus or the subway. The hostel is only two stops away from the city center on Xinjie Kou, and it’s also very close to 1912 Bar Street.

Here you can choose from European-style double rooms, Japanese-style tatami standard rooms, regular double rooms, 8-person rooms, 6-person rooms, etc. All are equipped with air conditioning and 24-hour hot water, but do not include private washrooms. The public washrooms and activity rooms may lead guests to reminisce about university dorms from days past. The hostel also boasts a quiet and cozy hang out area and private library (or “book bar”) and provides wireless internet.
