1) Dadou Lu Food Street View In Map
Located west of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (京杭大运河) and east of the shopping district, Dadou Lu Food Street (大兜路美食街) is a neat, open street clustered with antique buildings. The detailed architecture gives each restaurant a different feeling. Green Tea (绿茶) and Jiangnan Yi (江南驿) are two establishments on the street serving Zhejiang and Jiangsu cuisine that are especially popular with the young crowds. The street is lined with ancient buildings dating back to the late Ming and early Qing, such as Huqingyu Hall (胡庆余堂) whose dishes include foods with Chinese medicinal properties, Wanlong Huotui Manor (万隆火腿庄) which serves traditional Hangzhou cuisine and Yangtang Restaurant (羊汤饭店) which mainly specializes in dishes from the Zhejiang and Jiangsu region. The street runs parallel to Gaoyin Xiang (高银巷) and Qinghe Fangping Jie (清河坊平行), and boasts ancient architecture and a wide selection of local fare. It's hard to choose the best restaurant on the street, but the fried meat-filled buns at Yaobude Gaozu Shengjian (咬不得高祖生煎) and Huangfan'er (皇饭儿) are both definitely worth a try.
