A Yunnan tour guide lost their license early this month for cursing clients out for not spending enough money on the tour. The guide's travel agency also lost its business license because of the incident, according to the National Tourism Administration.
The tour, which featured 7 days and 8 nights in Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang, began in Qingdao and ran from August 2 to 8. The tour guide in question, Liu Jiangchun, was responsible for the leg of the trip from Kunming to Dali.
The guide, according to clients, cursed the group out for not spending enough money when the tour stopped at the Dali Jade and Stone Cultural Museum, and the Bai Shopping Street. The clients recorded the tour guide's rant. The guide later claimed that it was his voice on the recording but it had been edited, but could give no proof for this.
The visitors received an official apology from the travel agency.

Exactly, paying too little for a tour results in a crap experience and/or extortion attempts. I don't know how being herded around like a sheep by a man with a flag can be anyone's idea of a holiday anyway. May aswell have a sign on your head that says "I am a Moron, please take my money".

Cheap people want cheap cheap cheap tour with a greedy agency that wants big big profits. You can't have it all, cheap and free-from-shopping-sessions because a company's goal is obviously to make more money. You must choose, you get what you pay for.
