The average salary of a Chinese citizen is like 50,000 RMB (give or take a little). The price of an iPhone is more than 10% the average salary. Conversely, the average salary of an American citizen is like $53,000 USD (over 338,000 RMB). This would be like charging over $5,000 USD for the iPhone in America. Nobody would buy that. I understand there are a lot of wealthy people in China that can buy the iPhone without thinking twice, but why do I still see average Chinese person forking out the money for this? People need to secure their financial future, and if you're a Chinese citizen making an average salary, you're not in financial position to buy this.
