Shanghai Meteorologist Filmed Playing Videogame at Work; Removed from Post
Jan 31, 2013 By eChinacities.com

The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau recently uploaded a short video on the recent air pollution / “haze” situation to its Weibo account. Eagle-eyed netizens were quick to point out that one of the staff featured in the background at the 24-second mark was hard at work playing the “Sanguosha” (Three Kingdoms) game on his computer. It was later revealed that the man has worked at the Shanghai New Meteorology Company since November, 2011, and that he was an assistant media liaison. Because playing videogames at the workplace is a serious violation of labor discipline (obviously), the employee has been removed from his post and is currently under investigation.

In the workplace, looking over one's shoulder is an important skill.
