A Qingdao traffic volunteer taking her job way too seriously, hit a female pedestrian with a hammer for trying to jaywalk on Tuesday. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital after the attack. A witness said that traffic volunteer tried to stop the woman from crossing the street at a red light at the intersection of Ha'ian Lu and Hangzhou Lu. The two women began to argue, and the female traffic volunteer suddenly pulled out a hammer and hit the woman on the head. The woman fell to the ground, bleeding.
After beating the pedestrian, the traffic volunteer did not leave the scene or try to help the woman on the ground. Instead, she shouted at onlookers that they should not jaywalk.
Police were called to the scene and the woman was taken to the hospital for treatment. She is reported as doing well, and the traffic volunteer was detained by police.

Hahahaha... this is so ridiculous! It sounds like a cartoon trying to teach children not to jay-walk. I bet it went something like this. Volunteer: "Hey, you... don't jaywalk it holds up traffic!" Woman: "Who do you think you are? There are many others jay-walking too!" Volunteer: "Fine, have it your way!" *BLONK!!!* Volunteer: "Respect my authority! Don't jay-walk people!" China should be its own planet.
