Netizens Poke Fun at Chongqing’s “Instant Noodle Building”
Jul 02, 2013 By eChinacities.com

There are many examples of bizarre architecture in China; from the underpants CCTV building to the new phallic-shaped People’s Daily HQ and Shanghai’s “Bottle Opener”, there’s always something eyebrow raising (or laughter inducing) on the streets of China’s cities today.

Chongqing has recently seen the addition of an “instant noodle building” which has got China’s netizens talking. The building is located near Chongqing Railway Station, and looks a little bit like a dystopian version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The “instant noodle” reference comes from the fact it looks like three pots of instant noodles piled on top of each other.
