A complaint from an angry customer in a Hefei restaurant escalated quite spectacularly last week and culminated in the manager of the establishment swallowing a condom.
A group of diners allegedly found the prophylactic in their food when they went to turn over their roast fish. Outraged, they called over the manager and made some pretty hefty demands including an ambulance, reimbursement for medical checks and 100,000 RMB.
The manager tried to argue with them, even suggesting that the diners put it there themselves, as the contraceptive device would have melted if cooked alongside the fish, but to no avail. The diners wouldn’t back down, but suggested an alternative; that the manager swallow the offending condom. Which she did.
“I was on duty so I had to eat it to get the problem settled…” said the manager, by way of explanation. “They asked for too much compensation and we failed to negotiate.”
Local health and safety authorities were alerted to the incident, but are unable to do much due to lack of evidence.

Ho, well. I once found a cigarette butt in my soup. I stay cool. My wife, not so much, and call the cook. She ask what is this, and the cook, with his best face-saving smile, says it's a piece of chicken. My wife cleans the cigarette butt and opens it a bit. Nope, it's no chicken, sir. The cook remains silent, smile stuck on his face.

This restaurant will now become famous and offer the 'condom dish' to it's customer. In the same vein as the 'president xi' and the 'cameron' restaurants.

well they say that eating with your wife/girlfriend lover is a prelude to sex ..... but this is eating is a sequel. I have a mountain of questions: Is the manager still healthy? Did she get pregnant? How does spicy condom taste? Would it taste better with Sichuan pepper? If she hadn't eaten it it could have been reused? Will they add the dish to the menu?
