Fake UN Hunan Farmers Up to More Antics

Fake UN Hunan Farmers Up to More Antics

Remember the farmers who dressed up as UN officials to try and bust someone out of jail?

Well, it turns out that the ill fated prison visit wasn’t their first rodeo. The fake UN credentials were from an actual fake UN organization that they set up over four years ago. It has over 100 members across 10 provinces, and they have been using this guise to get away with all kinds of mischief, including driving without a license, getting free train rides and depositing fake money in the bank.

The pair confessed after they were caught out trying to use fake certification to bust their cousin out of jail. They have apparently been selling ‘UN passes’ for several thousand RMB a piece, mainly to gullible elderly and uneducated people in rural areas.

Presumably it was their former success fooling village pensioners that gave them the confidence to try out their ruse on actual prison officers, leading to their incarceration.
