Air Canada flight AC032 from Beijing to Toronto was forced to return to Beijing when a Chinese passenger attacked a flight attendant after takeoff.

The aircraft first tried to land in Japan, but Japan rejected the landing, citing safety reasons. The plane was forced to return to Beijing where police apprehended the passenger.

Air Canada spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick said in an emailed statement that an unruly passenger caused an incident on flight AC032, two hours after the aircraft took off. The plane was forced to return to Beijing Capital.

Air Canada said that they could not give any more details as the incident has gone to the courts.

Wow..... this one is way beyond a lot of the petty ones.. Diverting an international carrier, probably a Boeing 777-300ER for 4 hours of wasted flight plus re-routing maybe 300 passengers and cargo. This Wang gonna get a serious hit in the pocketbook it looks like, unless it was something the Stew did, which I tend to doubt.

This writers should learn to give details before writing a thing. writing WHO, WHERE and WHEN are simply the basics for journalism. When did this happen...

Air rage incidents in China are proportionately far less than any other country in the world. It is the ignorant expats who make derogatory remarks who need to have their heads examined.

Do you have any proof to back up that claim? If you're employing sarcasm, it doesn't show.
