A Taste of Africa in Beijing

A Taste of Africa in Beijing

One great thing about Beijing is that it offers food from almost every corner of the world. So if you take a ride around Beijing you are bound to see plenty of options when it comes to non-Chinese food, especially in the foreign concentrations in Chaoyang. For those that are looking for something more unique than soggy McDonald’s burgers and tasteless pizza served with ketchup packages, Beijing does have things on offer. And we’re not talking about Mediterranean or South American cuisine; we’re talking about a little taste of the mother continent Africa. Here are some of the most enticing African restaurants Beijing has on offer.

1) PinotageView In Map
Pinotage offers its visitors a taste of the savoury South African cuisine as well as a great selection of wines. It is a bit out of the way and price is a little on the high side but it’s definitely worth the trip to enjoy some mouthwatering dried beef and feta salad or a nice South African lamb stew. After eating you can always wash down your meal with their excellent selection of South African wines, with bottles usually cheaper here than at other retailers. So head out to Pinotage and get a taste of South Africa.
