Beginning as a little-known event in Shanghai back in 2004, M Literary Festival has evolved into a major artistic event on the Chinese calendar. And since its inception in Beijing in 2009, the aptly named Capital M Literary Festival has provided little disappointment in giving us some big names in the literature sphere from China and beyond. Visitors can indulge in poetry readings, discussions, forums, and more from popular writers, thinkers, and even rock stars. The festival, which is staged at the city’s famous Qianmen Street, features a total of over 30 presenters and runs for three weeks in March, with tickets on sale since February 20.
