Owned by Japanese bartender Shingo Gokan, this high class new addition to Fuxing Zhonglu has two floors, with each floor serving up different drinks. One specializes in adaptations of the classics, while another keeps it traditional with old standards. The cocktail bar is based on the speakeasy concept, as Shingo Gokan also works at a speakeasy in New York, but also offers something different to the Shanghai bar scene.

An art space by day, complete with pottery workshops, this bar is a performance based bar in the evenings and at night, when live bands take over this relaxed and arty space. This definitely makes for a good addition to Shanghai’s live band and creative arts scene.

3) FumoView In Map
Fumo is an extremely design-aware bar and restaurant, by the people who opened UVA Italian wine bar. The theme is still Italian, and the name is an abbreviation of the Italian word for futuristic: futurismo. However, the menu is not stereotypically Italian, and you will not find pizza or pasta here, but instead a lot of shareable seafood. Instead of only combining with wine, the menu is also full of cocktails, featuring the classics and some interesting new ones.

4) El Ocho View In Map
Opened by Shanghai legend, Spanish chef Willy Trullas Moreno, this new huge bar is expected to be an instant hit on the scene. 5) Logan’s Punch View In Map

Inside the Bund Beach, Tiki is the perfect combination of restaurant, bar and dance-floor: you could literally spend all day in here.
