Flying in China is always somewhat of an escapade, though spare a thought for those poor flight attendants who are all too often on the receiving end of some grumpy passenger’s tirade.
Apparently not satisfied until their employees’ spirit is completely broken, budget company Spring Airlines recently announced that they will launch a “maid costume” theme for domestic flights coming in and out of Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport.
Stewardesses will replace their flight attendant uniforms with maid outfits, while stewards will don a British-butler style suit; with the master and servant theme doing wonders to make us remember we’re in a communist country.
Many netizens have felt that the move is disrespectful and damaging to the attendants’ self esteem, while some practical folks have noted that flight attendant’s number one responsibility is to ensure the safety of those on board, and that such attire may end up affecting their normal duties.
What do you think is worse here – safety issues or downright deprivation of dignity?

This is the airline's reaction to getting rid of the porn sites. They can make their own. Anyway, how much does that fare cost? I was thinking of taking a quick trip.

Spring Air is a second-rate airline and this article shows they're sinking to third-rate. maybe the next article you read about them is "Spring Air Files for Bankruptcy" I feel sorry for these, as well as other flight attendants in China who have a shit job and shit bosses.

This is why China needs porn. Girls in maid outfits are best left to adult video and your private bedroom, not while 30,000 feet in the sky, or at a sit-down diner. Keep the wild fantasies where they belong, which is not being my possible lifeline in the sky or ensuring my order is taken and prepared the way I ordered. Hiring pretty girls and guys to do the job benefits very few, and enrages many (what woman wants to go eat where the servers are wearing bikinis or sexy maid outfits?)
