Yinchuan Transport - Bus

The city of Yinchuan is generally not well serviced by buses. There are not many lines (less than 40), and services are not frequent. Two tourist lines open over the May holiday and national holiday, going to West Xia Imperial Tombs and the Rock Carvings of Helan Mountain. The buses leave from Xinyue Square (intersection of Lijiang Jie and Shanghai Lu) but if a visitor can spare a few extra RMB they would be better off hailing a cab. However, the bus network has gotten a major improvement thanks to the BRT line that opened in September 2012. The line has a total length of 21.2 km with 22 stations along the line, including 19 regular sized stations (60 meters) and three large stations (80 meters). The line begins at Yinchuan Railway Station, passes through Jinfeng District and terminates at Yinchuan Bus Station.

Generally, the starting price for most buses is 1 RMB or 2 RMB for the air-conditioned buses.
