The small city of Sanya has few bus lines, but they do manage to span the entire city. Buses operate from 6:00-23:00 and bus fares range from 1-4 RMB. The Dadonghai Station to Civil Aviation Station (Minhang Zhan) line is probably the most useful. The network opens at 6:00, winding down by midnight.
There are two tourist routes from Daxiao Dongtian to Yalong Bay, Tianya Haijiao and Yalong Bay which depart hourly.
One unusual feature of the Sanya bus network is the lack of stops: buses are stopped by hailing them like taxis. Fares vary depending on the destination, but the maximum fare will be no more than 8 RMB for the longest possible journey on a luxury tourist double-decker.
