According to a report from Beijing Rail And Traffic Construction Management, four new subway lines—line 6 (phase I), line 8 (phase II), line 9 (north section) and line 10 (phase II)—recently began trial operations. The lines will officially open to the public by the end of 2012, with 95 new cars planned for operations to ensure short wait times.
