A fruit vendor has caused controversy throughout his Chongqing community as he recorded himself cussing at his mother, and then played it on a loop to her. The two have stalls next to each other.

Huang Bo, 28, was fed up of competing with his mother, Wang Fen in her 50’s, so he repeatedly played the profanities he had recorded. Many residents were appalled, and wondered how a son could treat his mother like this. Bo’s father even called the police on him. The police, however, could not stop him, so his father resorted to beating him.

According to neighbourhood residents tensions between the two have been high for a while following a strain on everyone’s financial situation. Previous confrontations had nearly turned violent on various locations.
