Didi Chuxing Raises $4.5 Billion in New Funding Round

Didi Chuxing has raised $4.5 billion in the company’s latest round of fundraising. Apple, China Life, and Ant Financial are new Didi investors. Previous investors including Tencent, Alibaba, Softbank and China Merchants Bank also participated in the latest funding round.

Didi Chuxing is currently one of the fastest growing start-ups in the world. In September 2015, the company raised more than $3 billion in financing. In May this year, Apple invested $1 billion in Didi Chuxing, marking the largest investment in the company so far.

The ride-share start-up has 300 million registered users, nearly 15 million registered drivers. The app offers a number of services including taxis, limos, car pools, ride shares, and more.
