London's Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) released a report on March 19 stating that resorts in northwestern Laos have put various forms of protected wildlife on the menu in order to attract more Chinese tourists. The illegal menu items include tiger meat, bear meat, and other kinds of meat not found in your average grocery store.
These kinds of endangered animal products are often available for sale in Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. A local NGO in Vietnam verified the story and posted photos of local restaurant menus advertising fried tiger meat, bear paws (not the donuts), and pangolin (a type of ant-eater).
Environmental groups are worried that Laos is quickly becoming a hub for tourists looking to cook up endangered species. Increased Chinese tourism to Laos has unfortunately meant an increased demand for illegal meat. Some Chinese believe that rare animal meat and body parts can help with impotence or have other healing effects. Sounds legitimate to me!

Guys why everyone is arguing over that tiger eating trend.... It's china if they can eat embryos so what's a tiger baby roaming in jungle.... The Chinese will kill all the tigers for food. Unbelievably sad. Tigers are powerful, elegant creatures with innate abilities that strain credibility. So Chinese will eat them all. It's tragic. Why can't they just eat a t-bone?
