On October 8, the first working day after the double holiday week, all 35 PM2.5 air quality monitoring stations across the city recorded an average particulate matter density of greater than 100 micrograms per sq. m over the course of 24 hours. Among them, four stations recorded an average of 214 micrograms per sq. m, the highest of which (in the northeast corner of Fourth Ring Road) recorded 292 micrometers per sq. m.
