New International Furniture and Home Deco Giant Opens in Beijing

If you’ve browsed through the exhibition halls of IKEA more times than you can possibly recall and know the Swedish names of at least 3 products in the store without looking at the tag, then it may be time to switch it up a little and inject your home with furniture and home deco products from somewhere else! And that “somewhere else” may just be the new Easy Home (居然之家) international furniture store that opened at Beisihuan (北四环) on April 3, 2010.

Easy Home has already opened 24 branches throughout the country, but it is claimed that this new one at Beisihuan is currently one of the largest stores importing foreign furniture in China. What’s more, it is also home to the largest number of imported brands, with hundreds of top class international furniture products available in store. The store stocks everything from furniture to home decorations, and kitchen appliances to floor coverings, rendering the days when Chinese had to go abroad for brand-name foreign furniture a thing of the past. Moreover, people moving to China from abroad don’t have to feel too bad about leaving their antique furniture behind, as all this and more is catered for at Easy Home.

Stretched across 30,000 square metres of floor space and seven floors, Easy Home at Beisihuan stocks products from the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden, as well as imported products from 15 other countries across the globe. Among the 374 international brand names in the store, 14 have made their entry into the Chinese market for the very first time.

The store’s basement floor is where the imported brand-name furniture and home decoration products are found; the ground floor houses imported modern furniture items, floor two is for antique furniture, floor three for sofas, children and outdoor furniture, floor four for beds and carpets, the fifth floor mainly stocks cabinets, cupboards and shelves, electronic kitchen appliances, lights and sound systems; while the sixth floor is where you’ll find the curtains and textiles.

In short, Easy Home is the place to go in Beijing for upmarket imported furniture and is the largest hub for brand names like Joop!, Simmons, Roche Bobois, Chateaux d’Ax, Bindiya and more. Easy Home may lack the tempting canteen and food shop of IKEA, but if you want to splash out on a quality piece of furniture, or just change your usual home deco shopping routine, then this is the place to go.
