Shenzhen - A Resort for Locals

Shenzhen - A Resort for Locals

After leaving Shenzhen City, we drove for one hour before reaching Damei Sha. Mandarin City East, covers nearly nine square meters and is a special place where those looking to escape the city go on holiday.

As the scenic hub for Mandarin City East, Grand Canyon Ecological Park overlooks the gold coastline of eastern Shenzhen and is known as the “Best Waterfall on the Coast of China”. Enter the doors of MC East and walk several minutes along a tree-lined road until you get to an overwhelming waterfall, which is 300 meters in width and has a drop of 42 meters.

It is recommended that you take a cable car trolley when to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. The double slope open-ended mountain cable car, the first of the kind in the world, shuttles between the sceneries of deep canyons and high mountains. Cloud Tribal is one of the most rewarding spots in the Grand Canyon Ecological Park and it is the best place to enjoy the charming scenery of the entire park when you stand on the highpoint of the overall park at an altitude of 480 meters. Enjoy the famous sites like The Windmill, The Walking Clouds, the Peak Viewing Deck, Sightseeing Towers, and Restaurant in the Clouds.

Heart of the Ocean offers an oceanic cultural theme to the Grand Canyon Ecological Park. There are densely populated coconut groves, clear beaches, graceful islands, ocean plazas, indoor water parks and a first-class international themed water show. Celestial Street boasts world-class red wine culture with a storage cellar zone. There are LED screens 120 meters long and 12 meters wide in the skies of Celestial Street with surround sound, high-definition video and changeable illusory sceneries which all create a wonderful journey for the multitude of tourists. The interesting Hellbrunn Palace highlights the theme of the ecological condition of the Earth in the future, with its virtual ecological environment which has been damaged with all kinds of devastation from place to place. Although it is thrilling and exciting, it should arouse people's environmental awareness and not just entertain.

Tea Valley, a Chinese and Western joint venture, can not be missed. The quiet and beautiful bamboo-lined path is sufficient to let us enjoy the Zen in the paintings drawn by Wang Wei in the Tang Dynasty. The Tea Plucking Festival is held in April of every year in Sanzhou Park. Pluck teas leaves, learn to fry tea from masters in the ancient town, and make green tea all by yourself. Moreover, Wetland Garden, filled with flowers and Lake Town, are full of European romance are sure to take your breath away.

Golf enthusiasts are sure to love Wind Valley where there are two 18-hole mountain golf courses and golf training center. Surrounded by beautiful scenery you can play golf to your heart’s content.

Huaxing Temple is located on the Marattia Mountain in the Mandarin City East. It is bustling and crowded place of worship. In the modern city, people do not want to give up any of their desires but they can’t have everything as they wish. If they can learn just a few useful sentences from Buddhist scriptures, they can cheer up a bit and accept some of life’s unpleasant facts.

The highlight of vacation is surely the hotels. Many people are unable to live without posh hotels, so they have to live in the city. Hotels here are the first in a series of theme tribal hotel themes inside China. The Swiss Culture-themed Laketown Hotel combines Central Europe architecture and the splendor of mountain and sea scenery in the south of China, perfectly creating a hotel that is an ideal fairy tale getaway. Grand Crayon Waterfall Hotel with its water culture theme is hidden between great falls and huge rocks and includes a beer brewery, a space-themed restaurant, an all-day coffee shop, and a lavish banquet hall. You can enjoy seeing the splendor of the Grand Crayon or the Highfield Red Wine Town.

Then, there is the Cloud Valley Hotel. There you can enjoy the uniquely beautiful scenery of lakes, mountains and clouds that it perfectly combines into one luxury hotel concept. Huaxing Temple Hotel offers a theme of Buddhist culture and creates an intangible and simple Zen style. No matter your preference, you can find it in Mandarin City East.

Tianlu Villa district was designed by world-class architect Richard Meyer and was awarded “Best Living Environment” by the United Nations in 2008.

This resort encourages us to not only have a fabulous time but also to remember our status as keepers of the Earth. We must not become to indulgent towards Mother Nature and always remember to treat her with respect and honor.
