Armed Robbery Suspect Killed During Shootout with Shenyang Police

On February 3rd at 09:50, a 47-year-old man named Wen Moumou (温某某) was robbed at gunpoint at the entrance of his house on Jinchuanjiang Jie (金川江街) in Huanggu District. He was pistol-whipped and the bag that he was carrying with him was forcefully taken from him. The contents of the bag included about 40,000 RMB.

On February 4th around 21:00, the Liaoning Province Public Security Department and the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau stormed a house located at 40 Kunshan Lu (昆山路) in Huanggu District, where a man named Jiang Mou (姜某) who was suspected of committing the above-mentioned armed robbery was hiding out. The suspect resisted arrest and began firing on the police. The police returned fire, hitting and killing him in the process. Reporters at the scene saw the suspect’s body being taken away in a police car around 23:45.
