According to a recent exposé on the CCTV programme "Focus", Supor's stainless steel cookware products were found to contain four times the international safety standard for manganese – a chemical that if ingested in large amounts can cause neurological damage similar to Parkinson's disease. Supor responded by saying that an analysis of the heavy metal contents found that all of its stainless steel products have met "Italy's safety standards." To ensure consumer safety, a number of supermarkets around Shanghai (including Lianhua and Lotus) have already pulled Supor's stainless steel products from the shelves.

So what is actually safe in China, probably a short list. It seems everything should be considered bad until proven safe here.
