2. Fat Cow
Looking for a more casual dining experience? Check the American-style burger place called Fat Cow on the pedestrian street called Laowai Jie. If you’re a burger fan, then you’re going to love this place. Whether you want a chicken burger, a veggie burger or any of their other massive burgers, Fat Cow is the place for you. They offer a variety of gourmet burgers and chips as well as non-burger food options such as salads, fried chicken and steak. They also have some of the best milk shakes in town. This restaurant offers an outdoor escape—that you never knew existed—in the crowded alleys of Tianzifang. Kommune’s bohemian-style courtyard is located in the centre of Tianzifang. Their food menu is filled with various delectable breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes; make sure to try the salmon bagel with poached eggs or the homemade lasagne. 5. Park Tavern
Located across from Xujiahui Park, this renovated house turned restaurant has the perfect outdoor seating for those longing for a break from the busy city life. Park Tavern offers a variety of authentic Irish English dishes. And pints of Guinness and Strongbow are available on tap.
