2013 Shanghai Restaurant Week: Fine Dining at a Great Price

Shanghai Restaurant Week is back is back with a vengeance in 2013! During the week-long event, which is presented by DiningCity and Citibank (China) Credit Card, restaurants will present an exclusive 3-course Restaurant Week menu for lunch, dinner or both, for a fixed price starting from 78 RMB for lunch or 168 RMB for dinner. The event is perfect for anyone out there who's ever wanted to sample some of the best international cuisine that Shanghai’s pricier restaurants have to offer on a more modest price scale.

“The Restaurant Week concept gives diners the opportunity to try out fine dining restaurants at an affordable price, and restaurants to woo new customers by showcasing their cuisine in the form of a fixed price menu,” says Mr Onno Schreurs, DiningCity.com’s Managing Director for China and Hong Kong. “From experience we know that the most popular restaurants will be booked up within minutes.”

Some of the returning restaurants include Shanghai’s favorite T8 restaurant, The Peninsula Shanghai’s Sir Elly’s, Mercato by Jean Georges, Nougatine by Jean Georges, Mr & Mrs Bund, M on the Bund, Sheraton Hotel’s Italian restaurant Giovanni’s, Table No.1 by Jason Atherton, The Waldorf Astoria’s Grand Brasserie, Le Royal Meridien’s Allure restaurant and many more.  Together with the new additions – including Unico by Colagreco, The Four Seasons Pudong’s Camelia, Capo, Ocean restaurant Banyan Tree Hotel and Issimo – foodies in Shanghai are offered a formidable variety of cuisines to choose from.
