iPhone 6 To Give Mainland China a Miss: Old Apple Products’ Prices Fall

The arrival of the newest iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the iWatch has been published abroad. The Hong Kong version of the apple website publishes the new iPhone 6 as being 5588 HKD, at about 4424 RMB, and the iPhone 6 Plus at 6388 HKD, about 5057 RMB.

As Apple’s number one market, China, was not on the official list for the iPhone 6 release, leading a lot of Apple fans to give up hope. Regardless, the publication of new apple products has caused an instantaneous drop in older products’ prices.

For example, on China Unicom’s website, the iPhone 4S 8G has dropped to 2297 RMB from 2999 RMB, including a portable charger.

Those in the industry predict that prices are likely to drop further as the newer products become available around the world, hopefully including China.

It hasn't stopped lots of advertising for the 6 here. I have seen lots of shops carrying adverts. If it is going to be unavailable I wonder what they are telling interested customers when they walk in the store.
