On August 16, 645 days after the release of WeChat Mac 1.2 and 364 days since the last update, the WeChat team finally released the Mac 2.0 update to the joy of Mac users.
In the past year ,where WeChat for Mac has stayed dormant, the WeChat mobile app has been updated nearly twenty times and WeChat for Windows has also undergone major tweaking. This has caused users to experience gradually noticeable changes when switching between different devices.
With the latest update, the WeChat development team introduced major upgrades including the Favorites function, custom and downloadable stickers for chats, chat history retention and remote locking of WeChat. The latest WeChat Mac version will finally be in sync with WeChat on other platforms, allowing users to complete their tasks without worry about switching between desktop and mobile phones.
