A young woman from Ningbo got herself into quite a situation recently: she was cheated out of 2,000 Yuan by a fake hacker while trying to break into her boyfriend's boss's email to retrieve naked pictures she sent during a fight.
How did she get herself in this mess in the first place? The woman, Xiao Tang, recently graduated from university and moved to Ningbo to be with her boyfriend Xiao Zhang.
On the afternoon of July 27, the couple had a fight. Xiao Tang threatened to email scandalous photos the couple had taken together to Xiao Zhang's boss.
Hearing the threat, Xiao Zhang walked out and slammed the door on his girlfriend. This made Xiao Zhang so angry that she decided to actually send the photos to his boss.
However, as soon as she hit the “send,” button, Xiao Tang regretted her decision. She realized that Xiao Zhang might actually break up with her for sending the pictures.
Xiao Tang decided to find a hacker to delete the photos from Xiao Zhang's boss's mailbox. Not knowing any hackers personally, she searched for “hackers,” on Baidu. She chose one from the search engine results and sent them a message on QQ.
The hacker said that cracking an email password costs 300 Yuan, and that the money had to be sent first. Xiao Tang did not think 300 Yuan was an unreasonable sum, and transferred the money to the hacker's account.
But that wasn't all. “The 300 Yuan is just the cost to hack the password,” said the hacker, “I still need you to pay a deposit of 2,000 Yuan for our work. After we crack the password, the deposit will be returned to you.”
Most people would realize at once that this was a scam, but Xiao Tang was so anxious that she paid the 2,000 Yuan.
Not surprisingly, when Xiao Tang tried to get in touch with the hacker after she paid, she found that his QQ had been deleted. In desperation, Xiao Tang reported the fake hacker to the police.

Well it was pretty stupid of the guy to walk out on someone threatening to send nude pictures of him to his boss without ensuring he had control of the nude pictures. That said, it's a pretty dumb threat cause his follow up is to send nude pictures of her to everyone.

You got it wrong. She send pics that had both of them in it. Apparently they took photos of themselves having sex. Which actually makes the whole thing even more absurd, as she was basically threathening to send her own nude photos to her boyfriend's boss.
