2 Killed and 5 Injured in Shanghai Bar Fight Between Rival Gangs
Mar 31, 2015 By eChinacities.com

On March 29 at around 1:30 am, a huge fight broke out at the Shanghai Pudong club Baby Love. Two people were killed in the brawl and five were injured. The Pudong PSB reported that both sides in the fight were armed and police have arrested more than 10 suspects. Witnesses reported seeing blood on the carpet outside of the club all the way to the street.

Several street vendors cooking up late night drunk food outside of the club saw the fight first hand. “There were more than 20 people...people fighting with machetes, and chasing each other,” said one. Machetes at a night club! Maybe they should actually use the metal detectors at the club next time.

It turns out that most of the people involved in the fight were from different gangs in Anhui. It is suspected that the drunken brawl occurred because of a smaller argument between the gangs.

I thought all clubs had metal detectors pretty much in China... Security was probably too afraid to not let them pass even if the detectors went off.

Have you been to any club? Those metal detectors go off and no one's checking what you have... it's purely decorative.

Yes, I meant that most likely they had metal detectors and the security didn't care... or that not having metal detectors wouldn't have made a difference.
