A couple in their 70’s left 300 RMB and a note on their living room table for any would-be thieves that might break into their house while they went away for Spring Festival.
The couple are both retired teachers and love traveling. They have been following this tradition of leaving money and a note when they travel for over a decade.
This year they left 300 RMB and a note saying “I know you have suffered a lot this year. You must be longing to go home and see your parents. Please take the money and buy a train ticket. Find a decent job when you get back.”
The couple’s house has been broken into once and the money that they left was taken but nothing else was touched.
The husband said: “I believe people are born kind. Whoever they are, we should reach out a helping hand in times of trouble.”

Uh... How did this story get reported to the media? There are plenty of quiet, unassuming, good people out there, but this story is complete BS. People don't report private good deeds (with photos) to the media. The linked source is a Chinese propaganda site.
