Although based on events from a few years ago, the story of an unnamed model traveling China pretending to be Miss America has recently gone viral on the Chinese Media. The model graduated from a university in America but was unable to find fulltime work there, so came to China to pursue her modeling career in 2011.
She indicated that most of her clients were real estate developers and local governments. One example of the shows she has participated in as ‘Miss America’ is the “International Grape Festival” in Dunhuang’s oasis in 2011 – where she participated along with ‘Miss Chile’, a 17-year-old girl actually from Brazil.
She also posed as Miss America in Dalian, in October 2011, for a three-day long event during which she sat in a fake gold Mercedes golf cart to advertise the sale of houses in the Versailles style.
For work like this, her and her friends would get paid an average of 2,000 RMB per day – obviously not terrible pay, but lower than people working in the industry in the bigger cities.
This type of work is much more common than one might think – while on the road, the model also recounted meeting a Russian girl posing as ‘Miss Argentina’ while traveling the Chinese countryside for shows for 10 days.

Such women hating losers. A model is not a hooker you damn loser . It is a job. Just because they typically wouldn't give losers like you the time or day you try to reduce them to hookers. Here is how and why you could never buy them. Now on to the dumbass who thinks they are breaking the law. If a loser doesn't know the difference between fantasy and reality it is their damn fault. In the country called the West (because they all have the same damn culture and laws) there is something called freedom of expression. You can not be arrested for playing the damn role of 'Miss America' . Really the real Miss America in China . God, many of the guys on this site are immature little 10 year olds.
