First Chinese ISIS-Jihadist Caught by Iraqi Ministry of Defense
Sep 12, 2014 By eChinacities.com

This week, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced that they had captured the first Chinese ISIS fighter. There are no details on where the man is from, or what his name is.

Soon following his capture, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense released photos of him looking like he had been beaten up onto their Facebook page.

The Chinese foreign ministry spokesman has not confirmed the report yet, CNN says. There are no figures on how many Chinese fighters have joined the Sunni extremist militant group, but Mr Wu Sike, China’s special envoy to the Middle East, has estimated as many as ten Chinese Muslims may be fighting for ISIS, the Straits Times’ reported.

If this is true then this will be one of the first very clear and worrying links between China and international terrorism.
