A video has surfaced on Chinese media of a middle aged woman repeatedly throwing herself in front of cars in the middle of a busy main road, to no avail. She eventually managed to successfully throw herself in front of a bus, but it managed to stop in time, causing no serious injuries.
According to eyewitnesses the 50 year old woman had been standing on the side of the road and had run in front of three different cars in the same spot. The drivers were too quick however and stopped or swerved to avoid her every time. She then apparently decided to try her luck with a bus.
The video, posted on ifeng.com clearly shows the woman running alongside the bus before jumping and landing on the floor in front of the vehicle. The driver braked immediately and got out of the bus to call an ambulance.
The woman is currently being treated in hospital, although her real motivations for the bizarre act haven’t been disclosed. Neither she nor her family has attempted to make any claims against the driver.

I think there are three reasons behind this: (1) She may be very desperate or tired of living; (2) She may be mentally ill; and (3) Perhaps she's trying to make a living (?) ... Just my opinion.

'Compassion is not just a western trait, it's a human trait...' Don't assume that just because you have or been taught that by your sunday school teacher. How many Mother Teresa, Jesus, Buddha...etc. were there in the entire history of mankind? If compassion is a human trait would mankind have been such a mess for the last 5000 years? Ever seen the kind of things plenty of kindergarten kids do to each other and other animals in nature?
