Russian Girl Who Saved Drowning Chinese Man is Praised by Chinese Media
Jul 15, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A young Russian woman earned praise from several Chinese media outlets recently, after she jumped into the sea to save a Chinese man who was drowning.

Xiao Cui from Weihai in Shandong Province was hanging out at a popular Qingdao swimming spot with his friends when he decided to go for a dip in the sea. However, when he was in the water, a big wave swept away the water ring he was using to keep afloat, and being unable to swim, Xiao Cui began drowning. Fortunately, a Russian girl who was swimming nearby managed to reach him and pull him to safety.

When they reached the shore, lifeguards took over and performed first aid on Xiao Cui. Both were then taken to hospital for checkups. Xiao Cui’s condition has improved but the full extent of his injuries is yet to be determined.

When I went on a trip to an SE Asian country. I went on a water boating tour. And short story is that the boat was broken into two group. Westerners and Asians... Guess which side of the boat wasn't wearing life jackets and knew how to swim? Why don't they teach swimming in Asia during preschool? I am pretty sure swimming is more beneficial to your well being than hardcore algebra...

Because they were so poor that even giving them a bottle of shampoo or a carton of cigarettes was a big deal. Public swimming pools were a dream to many an inlander. Poverty, jeolousy, anger, religionless, the communists' brainwashing them to jerk up whatever self-esteem left by defaming the West, all these had twisted their psyches so bad that they you couldn't, in all honesty, called the majority of them human beings. Pitiful? Wait till you see what these people turned into. Not butterflies, unfortunately. Practically all Chinese I know of living elsewhere in the world are horrified and filled with disdain for mainland Chinese. Many, especially the older generations plainly said, "when we bumped into mainland Chinese on the streets, we ran like hell". Many of them would not even visit, let alone move to an area upon finding out there is a mainland Chinese cluster around there.

The full extent of his injuries must be determined before he decides how much to sue the Russian girl for.
