Chen Guangbiao Awarded Fake UN Certificate: Wants a Refund
Jul 09, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Eccentric billionaire Chen Guangbiao is back in the news again, this time over a rather questionable award certificate purportedly from the UN.

He received the ‘United Nation World’s Most Prominent Philanthropist and Goodwill Ambassador’ certificate after making a donation of 30,000 USD to the China Foundation for Global Partnership- an organization that was later discovered not to be part of the UN.

Adding insult to injury, the UN’s official Weibo page pointed out that in English, the organization’s full name is United Nations, with an ‘s’. Chen is now attempting to contact the Chinese woman he made the donation to, Zhou Lulu, to get his 30 grand back; unfortunately she has become mysteriously un-contactable.

30,000 USD isn't too much anyway. If he's a billionaire why would he care?
