Butt Prick Final Straw For Guangdong Man Stuck in Abusive Marriage

Despite a rapid increase in divorces in China over the past decade, finalizing the paper work and moving on is not always as straight forward as one may hope, as one poor man in Guangdong found out.

Mr. Chen married a woman in 1993, when he was 30 and she was 22. Things were fine at the beginning, but soon the couple found themselves clashing with each other because of personality and viewpoint differences. Their marriage quickly deteriorated into one characterized by constant fighting.

His wife, a former PE teacher and known for being quite masculine among her friends, would resort to physical abuse, injuring Mr. Chen each time they got into a fight. He was also hospitalized on numerous occasions because of her.

But the final straw came in 2011 when both partners agreed to go to the court to divorce and reach a settlement regarding their assets. Unbeknownst to Mr. Chen, as he was filling out the form his wife stabbed him in the butt with needles she had brought specifically brought for the purpose of preventing him from completing the forms.

It took a further two years for Mr.Chen to gather enough evidence to support his domestic violence claims in the divorce court but finally in 2013, the divorce came through and Mr. Chen and his butt were at long last free.

Women dont seem to age as well as men. He'll find a younger one no doubt. She'll just cause misery to every man she comes in contact with. There should be rest homes for old bats like her.

What is it with these stories? Are they supposed to scare people away from marrying Chinese women?
