What do you do when your boss just won’t pay up? A worker from Sichuan province had a novel and adorable form of revenge when he ordered 1,130 baby ducks to fill up his boss’s apartment.

He Xiang started working for the company three years ago but decided last year that he wanted to quit. Before leaving however he believed he had 3,000 RMB in outstanding wages to settle, but his boss He Bing, refused to pay up. They argued back and forth for a while but when it seemed like he wasn’t getting anywhere He Xiang went to drastic measures; he contacted a farmer named Chen and ordered 1,330 ducklings to be sent to his boss’s house.

He Bing’s house was completely overrun by the tiny occupiers, but the plot thickened when He Xiang refused to pay the money owed for the delivery of the ducklings and instead told Chen to get it from his former employer.

Chen , who understandably became sick of this nonsense and who was worried about the safety of the baby ducks, finally got the police involved. They reached an agreement in the end that He Xiang should compensate Chen for the duck delivery fee and a further 100 RMB for the loss of several ducklings in the process.

As for the wage dispute, the two men were told to take it up with the district court.
