Chen Guangbiao: “Uneducated People Should be Prohibited from Having Children”

So after entrepreneur-cum-philanthropist Chen Guangbiao got involved in the giving away of fresh air cans on the polluted streets of Beijing, we were all under the impression he was a real stand up guy right? Well, maybe not. In his most recent publicity stunt, the millionaire made comments to the Anhui Business News stating that “people with a high school or university education should not be restricted under the one-child policy,” and that “people with lower education levels should be prohibited from giving birth.” Chen’s comments drew immediate criticism on many social network platforms, leading the eccentric businessman to post on Weibo “The right of birth is a fundamental human right. Everyone is equal.” Despite his apparent attempts at rebuking the statement, netizens still hold mixed opinions towards the colorful character, who was also seen riding a bicycle while dressed in a bright green suit last Sunday.
