Traveling into Zhengzhou is especially popular in Autumn, when the city holds two major festivals: the China Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival and Xizheng Date Village Tour. Visitors are advised to book in advance if they intend to travel during these celebrations as the hotels fill up.
Although the climate in Zhengzhou is generally good, showers are common in summer, so visitors are advised to bring lightweight rainproof clothing or an umbrella.
