Pu’er City in Yunnan province is to be the home of a new coffee trading center. The project is aimed at creating a trading platform to reduce the impact of global price fluctuations.

The center will provide technological and financial services for the entire Chinese coffee industry.
Pu’er is famous for its tea, but the region is also an important center for Yunnan’s coffee production. Coffee plantations cover more than 120,000 hectares of the province and are responsible for over 98 percent of the country’s coffee production.
