Yiting Pulled Noodles (Yiting Lala Mian) 义亭拉拉面
One of Yiwu’s favorite snacks, these hand pulled noodles are characterized by a uniform thickness, almost silver hue and soft texture. These noodles are seasoned and made with strong wheat flour. They can be found in most places in Yiwu, but the best are on Yiting Old Street. They are served with a variety of condiments and seasonings, enabling the snacker to flavor them to suit their personal taste.

Crisp Cake Made in Fotang Town (Fotang Subing) 佛堂酥饼
Because Fotang is a business center dating back to the Qing Dynasty, quick efficient and economical snacks came to be the norm here. The crispy cakes from the town are an example of a local snack that became popular all over the region. They are slightly sweet, and stuffed with meat and vegetables.

Wheat Paste (Mai Tuo Hu) 麦拓糊
Wheat flour is blended with salt and water to make this common local snack. These fired cakes are quick to make and are tasty and nutritious. They are often served rolled up with molasses or honey.

Chi’an steamed Tofu skins stuffed with vegetables (Chi’an Doupi Subao) 赤岸豆皮素包
These tofu skins are made into dumplings and stuffed with vegetables before being steamed in an iron pot. They are soft and tasty.

Buckwheat Mouse (Qiaomai Laoshu) 荞麦老鼠
These thick, cut buckwheat noodles are vaguely mouse-shaped and are boiled and served with vegetables.
