Earlier this month, Yiwu was named one of China’s “top ten exhibition cities” at the 2012 Chinese Expo Stars event held in Shanghai. In addition to Yiwu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Chongqing and Shenyang were also awarded this distinction. In 2011 alone, Yiwu held more than 70 professional exhibitions that saw a turnover or more than 32 billion RMB.
