Yangzhou Middle School Offers Exam Exemption, Late Passes and Lunch With Teachers as Hongbao
Mar 06, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Over 2,800 students from Yangzhou Shuren Middle School received surprise hongbao on returning to school of March 2.

However, instead of traditional hongbao, which normally contain money, these hongbao offered candy, blessings and some unusual prizes, such as late passes, exam exemption certificates and the opportunity to eat lunch with their teachers.

Many netizens praised the prize giving as creative, but others were concerned that they would encourage bad habits among the students.

Does the fact that the Chinese language has no tenses or timeline mean that people can't see consequences?

probably yes, I really believe that the language, its simplicity on one hand and difficulty on the other, make it hard and it does create lot of the problems we see.
