Over 130 bus routes serve Wuxi. The large air conditioned buses cost 2 RMB per trip; the less comfortable buses cost 1 RMB. Not all the buses have conductors, and visitors are advised to get their change ready before boarding. Most bus lines start between 5 and 6 am, usually shutting down well before 19:00. Buses starting with the number “3” are night buses and include the following routes: 310, 311, 312, 315, 316, 319, 328, 358, 395.

Visitors who are in possession of a Wuxi or Shanghai IC card (a local travel-card) can enjoy a 20% discount on local buses.
